The Hospital Público Estadual Galileu Endorses the CEO Water Mandate
The CEO Water Mandate Secretariat is pleased to welcome the Hospital Público Estadual Galileu (HPEG) as its latest endorsing company! HPEG is joining over 140 companies from across the globe and representing multiple industry sectors that have committed to advancing water stewardship. It is “with immense satisfaction” that CEO Saulo Mengarda makes this commitment on behalf of his hospital.
Founded in 2014, HPEG is a state-owned hospital in Pará, Brazil. Its mission is to take care of lives by providing services in trauma-orthopedics, medical clinics, and cardiology. HPEG serves its patients with respect, dignity and equality, aiming at the continuous improvement of hospital care provided for all patients. In the two years since its founding, HPEG has performed more than 150,000 exams, 8,000 visits and 5,000 surgeries. With approximately 450 employees, the hospital maintains an average satisfaction rate of 96 percent.
The CEO Water Mandate is designed to assist companies in the development, implementation, and disclosure of comprehensive water strategies and policies. It also provides a platform for companies to partner with like-minded businesses, UN agencies, public authorities, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders.
