Submit your CEO Water Mandate Communication on Progress annually
Endorsing companies publicly report their progress toward water stewardship on an annual basis, in what are known as Communications on Progress or COPs. COPs for the Mandate can take several forms (see examples here) including:
- A section within the company’s broader UN Global Compact COP reports
- A section within the company’s broader annual sustainability report
- A company’s CDP Water Questionnaire response
- A standalone report
To submit your COP, follow the same steps as submitting your broader UN Global Compact COP through the UNGC website.

Join the Water Resilience Coalition
The Water Resilience Coalition is an industry-driven, CEO-led coalition to address the global water crisis. The CEO Water Mandate leadership initiative aims to elevate action on global water stress to the top of the corporate agenda and preserve the world’s freshwater resources through collective action in water-stressed basins and ambitious, quantifiable goals.
Water Resilience Coalition members commit to a 2050 pledge across three core areas:
- Net positive water impact: Achieve and maintain a measurable and net positive impact in water-stressed basins on availability, quality and accessibility through industry-leading water operations and basin initiatives.
- Water-resilient value chain: Develop, implement, and enable strategies to support leading impact-based water resilience practices across the global value chain.
- Global leadership: Raise the global ambition of water resilience through public and corporate outreach.
As part of their commitment to supporting the work of the Coalition, members contribute anywhere from $10,000 – $100,000 annually depending on their revenue and level of engagement (i.e., Leadership Committee or regular Coalition member). This contribution is separate from membership dues for participation in the UN Global Compact or to participate in the Mandate’s Action Platform.
To date, 35+ companies have joined the Coalition and have signed a pledge towards three overarching 2050 commitments. Join us!
