Momentum Building for Corporate Engagement on WASH in 2024: Second Quarter Updates
The WASH4Work initiative is pleased to share that from April through June of 2024, 97 companies around the world have signed the WASH Pledge, with a total of 192 pledge signatories for 2024 for the first two quarters. The WASH Pledge signals a company’s commitment to providing universal access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) across their operations, supply chains, and the communities where they operate.
For the first two quarters of 2024, the companies that have signed the WASH Pledge have operations across 5,357 locations, reaching a total of 238,618 employees, and 1,250,247 contracted workers. This marks a significant leap in corporate action on WASH, and vast opportunity for corporate impact on the CEO Water Mandate’s WASH4Work global goal (SDG6) to enable universal access to safely managed water, sanitation, and hygiene. We congratulate all companies that have committed to the WASH Pledge since its launch in 2013.
