Momentum Building for Corporate Engagement on WASH in 2024: Third Quarter Updates
The WASH4Work initiative is pleased to share that from July through September of 2024, 46 companies around the world have signed the WASH Pledge, with a total of 238 pledge signatories for the first three quarters of 2024. The WASH Pledge signals a company’s commitment to providing universal access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) across their operations, supply chains, and the communities where they operate.
For the first three quarters of 2024, the companies that have signed the WASH Pledge have operations across 5,541 locations, reaching a total of 269,885 employees, and 1,254,615 contracted workers. This marks a significant leap in corporate action on WASH, and vast opportunity for corporate impact on the CEO Water Mandate’s WASH4Work global goal (SDG6) to enable universal access to safely managed water, sanitation, and hygiene. We congratulate all companies that have committed to the WASH Pledge since its launch in 2013.?
