Progress Announcement: The Water Resilience Coalition Announces New Members

  • Posted by CEO Water Mandate
  • Date April 29, 2026

April 29, 2026 – The Water Resilience Coalition (WRC), a CEO-led initiative driving corporate action on global water stress, announced the addition of members since its last progress announcement in 2025. New members include Waterscan, Xylem, Niagara Cares (the philanthropic division of Niagara Bottling), Oji Holdings, Suntory Holdings, Suntory Global Spirits and Kilimo.

The Water Resilience Coalition is an initiative borne out of the CEO Water Mandate, a partnership between the Pacific Institute and the United Nations Global Compact. By 2030, the Coalition aims to mobilize a critical mass of companies to build water resilience across their operations and supply chains while investing in collective action to secure water in 100 of the world’s most water-stressed basins.

In parallel, the CEO Water Mandate has grown its number of endorsers to more than 600. By endorsing the Mandate, companies commit to ongoing progress in building water resilience through their direct operations, supply chains, watershed management, and beyond.

“The expansion of the CEO Water Mandate and the WRC reflects the growing recognition among leading companies that water security is essential for sustainable business and resilient communities. By uniting their influence and resources through thought leadership and collective action, these companies are driving impact in some of the world’s most critical basins,” said Jason Morrison, Head of the CEO Water Mandate and President of the Pacific Institute.

“The addition of these new members strengthens the Water Resilience Coalition’s ability to drive transformative action where it matters most, on the ground in the world’s most water-stressed basins. Together, we are scaling collective action and innovation to safeguard water for people, nature, and economies alike,” said Matt Kistler, CEO of the Water Resilience Coalition.

CEO Water Mandate
The Mandate is a commitment platform for business leaders and learners to advance water stewardship. Endorsing companies commit to action across six key elements and report annually on progress. The Mandate Secretariat - a partnership between the UN Global Compact and Pacific Institute - supports the initiative’s mission and endorsing companies in many ways, including: (1) developing research, guidance, and tools that advance corporate water stewardship, (2) convening multi-stakeholder events to identify, explore, and solve key water challenges, and (3) facilitating meaningful collective action to improve conditions in at-risk river basins around the world.
