RECORDED LIVE: Experts from the Pacific Institute, UN Global Compact's CEO Water Mandate, and Gap Inc. discuss the world's greatest water challenges and how businesses can help address them.Posted by Pacific Institute on Wednesday, October 17, 2018
The 15-minute discussion focused on the biggest global water challenges we face today, and how and why the private sector can be part of the solution. Heather Cooley provided an overview of the global water crisis. Lisa Hook highlighted the excellent work that Gap Inc. is doing to improve access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the communities where Gap Inc. has operations, with a specific focus on women. Jason Morrison stressed the need for businesses to engage in water-related collective actions that “can really help move the needle on water sustainability…because no one company is going to be able to do it alone; it’s going to take partnership.”
