ACCIONA has implemented measures to continue provision of basic water and sanitation services to vulnerable populations in Peru, Mexico, and Panama. For example, when the Chincha Baja community of Peru had an issue arise in their water-to-well pumping facility, ACCIONA resolved the issue. During the failure itself, ACCIONA ensured that the community had access to water by coordinating water distribution via a water tanker. ACCIONA has continued providing support to communities in Oaxaca, Mexico to build dry toilets and rainwater catchment systems during the pandemic, distributed cleaning and handwashing materials, and led sensitization activities on preventive measures.
