This basin faces significant challenges, with water supply shortages among the most striking.<\/p>\n<p>Manos al Agua\u00a0por\u00a0el\u00a0R\u00edo Bravo is a private sector\u2013led collaborative uniting\u00a0companies, NGOs, and basin partners to strengthen water security and resilience across\u00a0the Bravo. Launched in 2023, the Initiative responds to state scientists\u2019 predictions of a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/resources.ca.gov\/-\/media\/CNRA-Website\/Files\/Initiatives\/Water-Resilience\/CA-Water-Supply-Strategy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">looming 10% water supply gap<\/a> with a target to reduce, reuse, and restore 1 million acre-feet per year by 2030. This initiative draws on successful models from the Mississippi River Basin, California, and India-specific frameworks, applying proven water solutions tailored to local conditions. Within the collaborative model, there are different roles for executing and supporting collective action and monitoring impact.<\/p>\n<p>The WRC, in collaboration with Basin Champions and local stakeholders, works to initiate collaboratives unique to their basin region.
