How can the water efficiency toolkit benefit organizational leaders?

The water efficiency toolkit has several components that can help you raise awareness of the need for water efficiency within your organization. The toolkit includes several infographics that can help the layperson quickly understand how water is used in a commercial building or data center or how water management impacts a business, which can be helpful in bringing a team up to speed or preparing a presentation for a large group.

In addition, the toolkit includes the Water Scorecard, which can help leaders get a broad understanding of their organization’s water use and what areas they can start looking at to improve water efficiency.

How can the water efficiency toolkit benefit facilities management teams?

EDF and AT&T’s water efficiency toolkit can help you develop the skills needed to improve water efficiency. By using our technical resources, you can start to better understand where water is being used and how cooling systems work.

The purpose of the toolkit is to raise visibility of water efficiency opportunities and estimate potential savings so that you can create a business case for water efficiency investment. Because cooling system conditions and needs are so different – different outside temperatures, different water supply quality, etc. – there is no single solution. However, the information provided by the score card and the educational resources in the toolkit can help facility managers make sound investments.
